LILY ALLEN:

I absolutely love Lily Allen's "Littlest Things"!

It's both cute and melancholy at the same time.

BLING BLING:

I indulged in jewelery yesterday afternoon.

I bought six rings and four pairs of earrings!

They're all costume jewelery, though...not real diamonds.

But...they're real purr...etty!

I'll post pikkies of them when I've got time.

Yue Show, Winter Coats, Wang Fu Jing and Testicles.

It's been a while since I last posted anything.  I've been very busy with work, Chinese lessons, and shopping.  Today, I went to Yue Show (a fashion market I recently discovered last night), NOT Ya Show, and bought a scarf, two beanies (one for me, one for hubby), three ties, a purse, and a long red winter coat.  I wasn't too happy about the price I paid, but I really did like it.  Hey, at least it doesn't look like a doona cover!

And...Speaking of coats, I had another winter coat tailor made and will be collecting it on Sunday.  It's bright PINK!  HOT PINK!  It's so "girl".  I've been spending this past week, trying to get myself ready for my K-stan holiday. I'm very excited!  It's going to be absolutly freezing there, so I've been buying long-sleeved shirts.  I need to get thermal leggings and shirts, but the ones they have here in China are U.G.L.Y and make 'ya look F.A.T.

Also, a good friend on mine from Brissie visitied hubby and I...and we managed to have dinner with him and his dad.  I took him shopping, where we shopped and shopped (yeah, until we dropped)...and we got a lot of good bargains!  It was fun!  We also went to Wang Fu Jing to have a look at the Night Market Food Stalls.  Weird stuff.

你好!

Hey there...I'm just starting to learn how to type Chinese characters on the computer....and it's kinda fun!  I've got Chinese classes again on Monday, and I haven't done my homework yet.I'm gonna write more characters on palm cards and try to memorize them.  So far, I can write around 40-ish characters, and read about the same amount too.  That's not as much as I would like, but at least it's a start.  Anyway, I had a pretty relaxing morning:

Got up and out of bed, had a shower, helped father-in-law make pancakes for brekkie, ate brekkie, read a book, watched TV, had lunch...

And now I'm xanga-ing and eating a watermelon lollipop.  I love watermelon flavoured lollipops!  I absolutely love the flavour and the smell of anything watermelon!  Yummy-licious!!!

Subject: Tech Support

Tech support : What kind of computer do you have?
Female customer : A white one...

Customer : Hi, this is Celine. I can't get my diskette out.
Tech support : Have you tried pushing the Button?
Customer : Yes, sure, it's really stuck.
Tech support : That doesn't sound good; I'll make a note.
Customer : No, wait a minute... I hadn't inserted it yet... it's still on my desk..sorry....

Tech support : Click on the 'my computer' icon on to the left of the screen.
Customer : Your left or my left?

Tech support : Good day. How may I help you?
Male customer : Hello... I can't print.
Tech support : Would you click on "start" for me and...
Customer : Listen pal; don't start getting technical on me! I'm not Bill Gates.

Customer : Hi, good afternoon, this is Martha, I can't print. Every time I try, it says 'Can't find printer'. I've even lifted
the printer and placed it in front of the monitor, but the computer still says he can't find it...

Customer : I have problems printing in red...
Tech support : Do you have a color printer?
Customer : Aaaah....................thank you.

Tech support : What's on your monitor now, ma'am?
Customer : A teddy bear my boyfriend bought for me at the 7-11.

Customer : My keyboard is not working anymore.
Tech support : Are you sure it's plugged into the computer?
Customer : No. I can't get behind the computer.
Tech support : Pick up your keyboard and walk 10 paces back.
Customer : OK
Tech support : Did the keyboard come with you?
Customer : Yes
Tech support : That means the keyboard is not plugged in. Is there another keyboard?
Customer : Yes, there's another one here. Ah...that one does work...

Tech support : Your password is the small letter "a" as in apple, a capital letter V as in Victor, the number 7.
Customer : Is that 7 in capital letters?

Customer : can't get on the Internet.
Tech support : Are you sure you used the right password?
Customer : Yes, I'm sure. I saw my colleague do it.
Tech support : Can you tell me what the password was?
Customer : Five stars.

Tech support : What anti-virus program do you use?
Customer : Netscape.
Tech support : That's not an anti-virus program.
Customer : Oh, sorry...Internet Explorer.

Customer : I have a huge problem. A friend has placed a screen
saver on my computer, but every time I move the mouse, it disappears.

Tech support : How may I help you?
Customer : I'm writing my first e-mail.
Tech support : OK, and what seems to be the problem?
Customer : Well, I have the letter 'a' in the address, but how do
I get the circle around it?

A woman customer called the Canon help desk with a problem with her
printer.
Tech support : Are you running it under windows?
Customer : "No, my desk is next to the door, but that is a good
point. The man sitting in the cubicle next to me is under a
window, and his printer is working fine."

And last but not least...
Tech support : "Okay Bob, let's press the control and escape keys
at the same time. That brings up a task list in the middle of the
screen. Now type the letter "P" to bring up the Program Manager"
Customer : I don't have a P.
Tech support : On your keyboard, Bob.
Customer : What do you mean?
Tech support : "P".....on your keyboard, Bob.
Customer : I'M NOT GOING TO DO THAT!

 STRAWBERRY TIM TAMS

These are absolutely delicious!!!!

I bought 2 packets of them in Singapore, and now they're...gone.

 Yummy Yummy Tim Tams

OLD PHOTO OF PAGET

This is a picture that hubby took of me around 2-3 years ago.

My hair was straight, shiny and silky, and I was skinny!

Now my hair's frizzy and I'm pretty chubby.

Sigh.

CHINESE LESSONS

I've been attending Chinese lessons for the past two and a half months, at a place near Xiu Shui Jie (Ladies' Market).

However, I'm planning on switching schools and attending another one near the Holiday Inn, Lido.

I'm currently taking private lessons, but am hoping to switch to group lessons as I'm finding that it's getting rather pricey.

LATEST PURCHASES

I love boots!!!

I'm a "boots" type of gal.

I bought them at Ya Xiu, but I don't think I bargained hard enough.

These Boots Are Made For Walkin'

I got me a green poncho too!

It's starting to get very chilly here in Beijing, so I'm starting to stock up on winter clothes.

Yay!  I love shopping!!!

PRESENTS

This is a lovely pair of earrings my Grade 2 student made for me.

The photo is a bit blurry.

They're natural colored, dangly earrings.

Very pretty.

Goes well with my shoes.
